Fresno is served by California State Highway 99 which runs north/south. Highway 99 makes the city a gateway for visitors from Los Angeles to several parks including Yosemite National Park. Although Fresno was known as an agriculture area most famous for the raisin, its economy is heading toward industry and housing. The city of Fresno California has many cultural centers with one of the most respected among them
being the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra.
